Hello, hello on this rainiest of Fridays! I've been relishing the coziness of the past couple days and am looking forward to a weekend of even more cozies. It helps that it's my birthday today. Not a particularly important one, other than the fact that I'm still alive another year, which I suppose is pretty important! I tend to become a bit of a glum cunt in the weeks leading up to my birthday; (pardon the language but that expression is perfection) all that introspection does a number on my psyche. Aging can truly be a nightmare. But the fog is lifting and things are looking good. I have a fancy pedicure with a beloved friend who is about to make me an auntie, a decadent dinner with my love, and a celebration brunch with close friends to look forward to this weekend.
It's easy to forget that in the last year my life has changed immensely in ways that I am so grateful for and that bring me so much joy. I can't wait to see what the next one brings. So have a good one, my loves, and drink an extra-large glass of wine on my behalf! Here are some links for your eyeballs and a little ditty for your heart!

The Thousand Oaks, CA branch of Planned Parenthood that I went to for medical care for almost a decade was burned by arsonists this week. If you want to get me anything for my birthday, please donate to Planned Parenthood. It can't be overstated how important their services are to millions of people, and how devastating it will be if access to these services are cut. Thank you, my darlings!
