Happy Friday, yet again! This week flew by, which is always a strange feeling for me since every single Tuesday I am convinced that it's Wednesday. For reasons unbeknownst to me, my entire block is being ripped up and repaved, courtesy of my enemy, ConEd. So not only have I been awakened every morning by the sounds of jackhammers, but yesterday I woke up two hours early in anticipation of the jackhammers. Like, my anxiety over the noise woke me up. I just assume this is what the rest of my life will be like now. Does it have to do with aging? I've been waking myself up early with worries for months now. Doesn't matter if the worry is big or small. LOVING IT. I get not being able to fall asleep at night because of anxiety, I can get down with that. But waking myself up early? That's messed up.
Not to imply I have too many worries, though. Just regular, run of the mill stuff. Like I have just forgotten to pay my cable bill every day this week. I seem to only remember just as I'm about to drift off to sleep. Why can't I remember at normal times? I'm gonna do it now.
Okay I did it. Felt horrible, obviously, but at least it's done. Could this be a more mundane post? Sheesh. I don't have anything too exciting to report, I'm afraid! Other than Theo and my tickets to LA for Thanksgiving are booked, and I can't wait! Of course, Maeby will be joining us as well. You didn't think I'd leave her, did you??? She is an old pro at flying cross country. I'm getting a fancy mani at Hortus tonight, my new obsession. I've mentioned before that I have been very conflicted about getting my nails done since the Times article came out earlier this year, so I've been looking raggedy as fuck. Luckily, Hortus is just around the corner from my apartment, and it's awesome. Natural products, beautiful salon, fair wages. It's definitely a treat, but it's worth indulging every once in a while!
Have a lovely weekend, and here are some links for your eyeballs and a little ditty for your heart:
