Hi! I've been reading Big Magic by Liz Gilbert this week and it's been such an uplifting reminder that it's possible to be a creative person and live a sane life. Especially with how I was really going down a dark rabbit hole the last few weeks, it was just what I needed to read. I'm feeling much more confident and ready to tackle my upcoming projects. The whole book is a gem and I highly recommend it, regardless of profession. Sometimes I wish my commute was longer so I could read for longer chunks of time, as it's my train book. I have a train book and a nightstand book, and currently Big Magic is my train book. But it keeps me from finishing my books in 24 hours, which has always been an issue for me.
I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend! Theo and I are gonna go see a performance of American Idiot that his friend who was in the original production with him directed, so that will be a total trip. Also gonna get in a birthday brunch for one of my dear friends; there are rumors of tequila shots that already have me quaking in my boots. Tequila and I are not friends, so I'll have to pass on that if it's true. Unless everyone wants to see me barf and cry.
