I hope your weekend was more eventful than mine! I stayed firmly either in bed or on the couch in the hopes of kicking this eternal cold, that has apparently morphed into some delightful bronchitis. Luckily, I have stepped up my war on the medicine front and am optimistic that I will be right as rain in just a few days. At least I'm well rested, if not sore in all my muscles from constant coughing.
I'm sure you can imagine that I've not been looking my best this weekend; my skin is scaly and dry, the dark circles under my eyes are positively purple, and my nose is red and flaky. Truly a sight to behold. But I feel ready to start taking care of my skin and put a little effort into feeling human again, so tonight is the night I remedy all my skin woes.
I'm gonna do a major skin scrub, face and body, to try and slough off all that scaly, dry, dead skin that seems to have been laid to rest on my body, despite the fact that I'm literally drowning in liquids since Theo won't stop forcing them on me. If I never see another Emergen-C or spicy ginger juice again it'll be too soon. I'm using my Burt's Bees Peach and Willowbark Scrub on my legs and on my face. Though I will be VERY GENTLE with my face skin. I usually find this too harsh to use on my face, but desperate times, you know?
Then I'll be using some Lush Ultrabland to clean and moisturize my face, I love that since it's a cold cream, it leaves a delicious light film on my skin that makes it feel dewy and smells divine.
Once I remove those, it's time for my trusty Mario Badescu Rose Spritz to re-hydrate and make my skin even more ready to accept all the goodness I'm gonna smack on it.
If this doesn't make me look human again, I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.
