Initially, I wanted to go with a dark, ashy brown all over, but Lucy convinced me to add just the tiniest amount of pale blonde highlights along the tips of my hair. She was so spot on that I may need to go back and get some more. I'm serving some Narcissa Malfoy realness, fam. It's pretty subtle, but you can see it in the sunlight. I've never been able to effectively get my hair lighter without it turning orange, so this has been a real revelation. And this has to be my all time favorite shade of brown I've ever had. It's rich and dark without being too harsh on my skin tone, but dark enough that I feel like the happy little baby goth that I truly am. AND it looks good messy and wavy or straight and tidy.
Then it was off to Clare, who gave me the most perfect French bob a girl could ask for. I'm still growing out my bangs and she gave them a good trim so they grow back nicely and evenly. I always worry with bobs because perhaps you may have noticed my round face and head are a bit large, but I think this is pretty much the most flattering bob I've ever had. It's kicky and swishy and I'm just terribly pleased. It's also ridiculously easy to style and I don't feel like a mid-90s mom, which is a very important requirement to me.
Those ladies at Arrojo Williamsburg know what they are doing, you guys! If you're in the area and need a cut then check them out, the salon is super bright and airy, and I can't forget to mention that Nicole gave me the best shampoo/massage EVER. I felt like a queen! It was a super luxe, relaxing experience that made me feel much better about my overall SITUATION.
Thanks Arrojo! I feel like a brand new lady!
