Did you feel Mercury retrograde end this week? I honestly didn't really think it was affecting me much, and come Monday I truly felt a weight slip off my shoulders. It was magnificent. It helps that it's been a pretty beautiful week, (slushy sidewalks and all) so I've gotten a bit more outdoor time with my lil baby Lamb than I usually do this time of year. We spent an hour playing in the snow Wednesday, and I think I enjoyed it just as much as she did.
Maeby got her nails done yesterday, Theo took her to the dog groomer in our neighborhood, because I just can't bear to see her scared. I love picturing Theo and his friends walking around with Mae, running errands and hanging out in the park. It's too cute. I tossed Mae in the shower with me last night, so not only is she freshly manicured, but she's nice and fluffy and clean. Such a delight for all. It's hard to avoid the slush when you're only half a foot tall, so she's been pretty grimy this week. I, however, have the requisite claw marks all over my arms and and chest from her protestations.
My hair is officially making me want to commit crimes again. I am in desperate need of a decent chop, since what used to be my undercut is now bob-length and the rest of my hair is shoulder-length. For someone who loves haircuts it's surprisingly difficult to figure out when I'm gonna fit one in. I profoundly want to grown my hair long, but I am going to need one more bob chop to even it out before I can just let it be. I'd love to have a hair cape by summer, but I don't think that is in the cards for me quite yet. I gotta say, having an undercut during the summer months was amazing, but it's been frustrating growing it out. I obviously knew this would be the case, and was prepared to be living in bob-central while it grew out, but I can't help but feel frustrated. I need to get back on my Biotin regime, methinks. But for now, I'll enjoy having a cute lil french bob and topping it off with my red beret whenever it gets unruly.
I hope you have fun weekend plans! We have dinner with friends tonight, which I am thoroughly looking forward to. One of my friends is a chef and he's making us dinner, which is always incredible. A few months ago he made me the best BBQ I've ever had and I still think about it on a fairly regular basis. Can't wait to see what's in store for tonight. Think the rest of the weekend will be pretty mellow! My favorite! Puppy cuddles, movies, and lazy mornings for all. Have a good one!
