Do the Friday dance! Hope you're all ready for a lovely weekend full of rest and relaxation. I'm currently watching construction workers cut a hole in my kitchen wall -- another chapter of the never-ending construction that my building has forced upon us. Does the nightmare ever end? I'll continue to cope by just burrowing into the safety of blankets and pajamas, and finding comfort in my newfound love of overnight oats. There's something so pleasant about waking up and knowing that my breakfast is ready to munch on. Yes, I'm trying to make myself a breakfast person. It's hard, but I'm doing my best. What a segue! Excellent writing, Lourdes.
i love making breakfast on the weekends because I can actually build a hunger and enjoy the cooking process. I like to have my tea in bed and read my book before I get up and start tinkering about the kitchen. I'm big on shakshukas and omelettes on the weekends, though very occasionally I'll go buck-wild and make pancakes. Another thing I like about weekend mornings is that Theo takes Maeby on her morning walk, whereas during the week I do. It's the little things, you know? I can't really sleep in anymore, mainly because my old bones can't stay up past midnight these days. If you'd have told me five years ago that I would wake up before ten on the weekends I would have laughed at you. Oh life! What a trickster.
Well, I think I can bring to a close my completely random, stream of consciousness post for now. I hope you have a beautiful weekend, light some candles and eat something yummy for me. Here's some links for your eyeballs and no little ditty for your heart because I forgot to upload it and I don't have my computer! Xo.
I wrote a quick lil something on winter blush for Well Rounded NY.
I just need to accept that I'm a Slytherin.
Should I write a book about this?
I agree with this headline.
DeRay McKesson is awesome.
I love nuns. I can relate to so much of the authors feelings, it made me cry because sometimes I miss being a good Catholic girl.
Oh, what I'd give for such a dreamy workspace.
One of each, please!
