Happy Friday to one and all! I've spent most of today day-dreaming of one day having a little piano in my apartment. Just to give you an idea as to how unrealistic this is: my bed takes up 1/3 of my entire studio, so there's not a ton of room left for a piano. But a girl can dream! I miss playing. I also miss my accordion, which I left with my sister in LA before I moved here. It's not technically my accordion (it's my dad's from when he was forced to play as a kid) but I fell in love with it a few years back and always had it with me. I could even plunk out an Adele tune or two! Maybe next time I go home I'll finally bring it back with me. I asked my sister yesterday who had my accordion and she was all, "LOL, your accordion? It's back with it's rightful owner." How rude.
Any fun plans for the weekend? Theo's work schedule is insane these days, so I will be spending a lot of time working on my beauty. I have a peel at home I want to try that I'm slightly afraid of, but what am I here for if not to suffer for an attempt at clinging to my youth? The hardest part of Theo being away in the evenings is that I have to cook for myself. It is so hard to cook for one! I usually revert to my usual mac 'n cheese dinners, or just cheese. If anyone has any tips on cooking for one I'd love to hear them. I bet there's some sad cookbook out there somewhere that serves just this purpose.
Hope it's a beauty! Here's some links for your eyeballs and a little ditty for your heart in honor of George Martin.
