I have found the most precious coffee shop three minutes from my house, finally! I can work here in peace; it's quiet, close to home, and very sunshine-y. I've been trying out all the different cafes in my neighborhood for months trying to find the perfect one, and I think I've finally found it. My requirements are: Close to home, sunny, good bathroom, no wifi-policing, and quiet. I did it! I'm so pleased. I hope you had a lovely week! My little Avocado is visiting and it's always a treat to hang with him. Is there anything funnier than a 3 year-old? Delightful!
Been thinking a lot about my complicity in an industry that sets impossible standards of women's beauty, and I think I'm gonna dive into that for Monday's post. The last thing I'd ever want to do is make anyone feel like they need to live up to a certain unrealistic expectation set up by a misogynistic society that makes women feel invisible the second they show signs of aging. But we'll chat about that on Monday! I have lots of thoughts.
Any good plans coming up? It's finally supposed to be beautiful out. I don't really know what I'm gonna do with myself quite yet. Theo has a heavy work schedule this weekend, it's changing again and we're kissing our Sundays together goodbye! I try not to talk about Theo's stuff too much on here, feels like an invasion of his privacy. Though if you follow either of us on social media then you know what he's up to these days. I'll def be chatting about it in the coming weeks since we have a few events pertaining to his work that I need to get beautified for, so it'll come up. But for now, I'll just say I have a lot of spare time these days! Not complaining, I'm sure I'll crash someone's picnic or party or get drunk on gummy bears and wine on my couch. All these sound like good options for me.
I've found some links for your eyeballs and a little ditty for your heart! Please to enjoy.
